You have found the webmasters page!

As webmaster of the NNESA web site I have exercised my editorial prerogatives to create a page for my own musings, rantings and occasional reports to you on the progress of this venture. Things will appear here in no special order, for no particular reason, and may or may not be accurate, up to date, or relevant.

It's been a mixed summer, but there has been some good cruising here and there, a little rain, not a whole lot of fog (for Maine), and in a few weeks it will be time to start planning for decommisioning, winter storage, and all that un-fun stuff. Meanwhile, There are some pictures posted of the NNESA Cruise and a few shots taken at House Island during the 2006 Sabre Regatta. We can post any pics you have of anything related to NNESA members having fun, with other NNESA members or alone. Just email me the pics, or get me the prints and I will scan and return. Don't worry too much about the resolution, as long as its at least 360 x 480. Anything larger can be reduced, but anything smaller will show as a smaller image. I'd like to eventually have a page for each member where you can share your boat and crew shots with the rest of us. Send your digital images to "pix@nnesa.org" The mailbox has a limit of about 7 Megs, and if you attach an image to an email, the resulting size is MUCH larger than the image alone. If you want to send a lot of images, try sending a few at a time, or just burn them to a cd and send them to me.

Happy New Year, everyone. We have added details of the Mexican Margarita party, and have revamped the link formerly called "Newletter". Since we haven't produced a paper newsletter since 2002, I thought it time we updated that part of the page. In it's place we now have "News" where we can post various items of interest to you. Currently we are listing the change in New Wave Yachts, relocating their primary base of support for the Maine market to Manchester, MA. If anyone has any news items of note, send them along and we'll get them posted.

Well, the calendar for 2006 has been updayed, we'll be adding more dates and details as the season gets closer. Right now I'm sitting in my office watching it rain, snow is predicited for the day after tomorrow, ski season is right around the corner, and Windquest still isn't covered yet! At least everything is winterized. My next project for the web page is to create space for everyone to post some photos. I think we can host 10-12 photos of each members boat, with a list by boat name and thumbnails linking to each photo. I'll start setting it up and then send an email out so everyone can start to email me some boat pics!

Wow..it's been a while. I've suffered the digital equivalent of "The dog ate my homework", a system crash that resulted in a new motherboard, new hard drive, and a new power supply, and the total loss of all of my web authoring setups, passwords, etc. Now that I have all that good stuff recreated, at least on my laptop, I will be doing some updating here again, starting with the calendar.

The response to the password-protected section seems to be positive. Those of you who have had problems getting in, remember the password and username are case-sensitive. If you absolutely can't live with your username all lower case, email me and I'll change it.

I've been working on a bulletin board system. It's installed but I'm having some programming issues with it. Before I turn it on "live" I need to figure out what's wrong with it. Hopefully I'll have it up and running in time for us to discuss the cruise!
